MULTIPURPOSE BEAUTY

by Chia Yulo June 23, 2014

I have to admit I haven't always been smart about my beauty purchases in the past. Most of my decisions have been based on how pretty it looks or how good it smells. Through the years and a bunch of hits and misses, I've learned to appreciate the intricacies of skincare and cosmetics.
I have since figured out more or less what works for me and my lifestyle. I constantly rotate products depending on the weather and how my skin feels. I have a no fuss approach to beauty and think of myself as relatively low maintenance. I don't own a hair dryer, often just air drying after detangling from the shower. I am constantly on the lookout for the easiest way to take my makeup off at night and I'm an absolute sucker for anything multi-use because really, who has the time?
I figure that if I'm paying for something, it might as well do double (or triple or quadruple) time especially if it's something I'm going to be lugging around occupying prime handbag real estate.
What works well for other people may not necessarily be my jam so I've learned that it is always a good idea to read product reviews first to see how it has worked for other people and if they have developed any allergies since my skin is very sensitive.
I also consult actual friends and experts who have tried the product. Thankfully, we have our resident beauty guru #thevainmama always happy to give advice. Here, she shares how to get the most mileage from products that are worthy of being a part  of anyones beauty arsenal.
