70's Street Style

by Chia Yulo June 03, 2015

The seventies are back in such a huge way that even fashion chain stores have a million and one collections inspired by this era. But how do you pull it off without looking like you're dressed for Woodstock? Here, my favorite (wearable!) outfit throwbacks.

The fringe skirt looks more polished when worn with the same neutral color palette from head to toe.

Don't be afraid to mix prints but keep it classic with nautical stripes. Bonus points for expertly "undone" rolled up sleeves and cool chick sunnies.

Easy flowing pieces and billowy silhouettes amp up the comfort without sacrificing style.

Denim on denim done right! Pair a lightweight chambray top with high waisted denim flares and wedges.

Tuck a white shirt in a denim button down skirt and finish with a classic blazer and accessories.

Off shoulder tops are all the rage. It's especially cute with a bright colored flares. Pile on the accessories, grab a leather clutch, and go.

Button down denim skirt, turtleneck and a trench. Leather frame purse and pointed shoes-- totally classic.

Talk about a seventies comeback. Embroidery, fringe, an arm party and the ever-present flares. The key is to keep colors to a minimum. Blue and white is just right.

Or go all out with a colorful printed multi-patterned dress. A fun accessory is cute but try to keep accessories to a minimum as it will clash with the busy print.
