Looks We Love - A Roundup of Style Ideas

by Mikka Padua July 02, 2014

Some of you may have been seeking from day 1 and so we thought of coming up with a series of style ideas for you to try and shake up those finds. We're all about getting the most style mileage and value for money out of our purchases may it be from everyday necessities to once-in-awhile indulgences.

LOOK ONE

Look One features the Cuernavaca Deep V Maxi in stripes. Those multiple lines may seem intimidating but they are actually strategically placed to give one (irregardless of size) a flattering silhouette. We layered it over a slip and styled it with a crisp white linen jacket to give the billowy dress some structure. A rafia clutch from Galicia Manila gives an offbeat-chic look.
LOOK TWO
Look Two features a personal favorite. The Cartagena kimono is my go-to for days when I have a closetful-of-nothing-to-wear. It has proven its versatility over and over again from casual weekend looks to more dressed-up work meetings. Throw it over basics like chinos and white tanks to elevate your look in an instant. Classic black pumps and a skinny leather belt give it a polished vibe.
LOOK THREE
Look Three is all about striking a good balance. One that an oversized sweater brings to a skirt that has a quiet reveal of skin just like the Celaya Wrap Effect Jacquard Skirt. We complete the look with pumps and a color block clutch from Renegade Folk.
LOOK FOUR

Look Four dwells on smart layering. Closet staples we have in heavy rotation are even more maximized with a look featuring the Tossa Light Cotton Cape. It's faint embossed print adds character to the layering piece especially when mixed in with stripes.

LOOK FIVELook Five furthers our love for nautical stripes which we like to pair with almost anything. Here, it adds an interesting twist to our all-time favorite midi, the La Plata. We then keep to our belief that neutral-hued footwear gives the illusion of longer legs.

LOOK SIX

Look Six features the Gracia Scarf Print coverup worn over flared denims. An easy style formula to try. Complete the look with a statement clutch and pile up on gold accoutrements for some bohemian flair.

Look Seven extends the lives of your one-piece wonders. Team with boyfriend jeans and pool slides for an effortless surfer-chic vibe.

LOOK EIGHT

Look Eight makes you go out of your comfort zones and try something a little out of the ordinary. Mixing casual stripes with dressy lace may seem a fashion faux pas. Not when done with minimal accessories and the right proportion. In this case, a lace pencil skirt is tempered by a boxy striped breton tee. Statement earrings add panache and classic black pumps complete the look.

LOOK NINE

Look Nine explores yet another interesting mix. The handwoven skirt finds enthralling company in a sporty tee. A playful concoction that's nothing short of stylish.

Look Ten brings you a desk-to-dinner look by way of the Pleiku paneled skirt. A sequined tank plays an essential supporting role bring an unexpected twist to an otherwise mundane work ensemble.

There you have it. Ten looks you can ponder on and hopefully try. In our books, the goal, really, is to achieve effortlessly style. Feel free to peruse our tips above, add loads of self-confidence, a smile and you're well on your way to (almost) effortless style.

Till the next!
