Sewn Sandals Borlas Beige

  • Borlas is Tagalog for tassels. These denim scraps are upcycled into a cute shoe accessory. True to our commitment to sustainability, this style is made out of upcycled denim scraps from the closure of a jeans factory brought about by the pandemic crisis. We saw this opportunity to reuse and reduce waste by acquiring the factory’s leftover denim scraps or “retaso”.

    • Open toe slippers with tasseled upper made of denim scraps and frayed by hand.
    • With an upcycled emblem to spread awareness on recycling & reducing waste.
    • Gum outer sole.
    • With a soft padded heel bed best for lounging.
    • Fitting: True to size
    • Available in one colorway: Beige with multicolored denim tassels
    • Sustainability Note: For sustainability purposes, colors or shades of the upcycled denim may not be exactly similar. Rest assured that both left and right pairs are similar and all patterns and designs are well thought of by our artisans that are all highly loved by previous clients.
