Spring 2016 Trends

by Anne Bella February 03, 2016

It's another new year and with that comes making resolutions, pressing that reset button to make life sweeter and hot new fashion trends to covet! We at STU are ecstatic to know that some of our favorites from last year made it to the list and cannot wait to sport the looks, adding to it our own signature twist. After all, the last thing you want to be is a (fashion) victim. Here are our picks and inspiration for our current finds!

Romantic

fashiongonerogue Etro

We love lace and soft florals (obviously) and always find excuses to incorporate it to everyday life. This season, it's all about the soft silhouette that exposes bits of skin for a more sultry approach. We are in love with these dainty dresses from Etro! Quite similar to our Montauk caftan and Prostejov dress, yes?

Denim

We cannot live without our denims and even devoted a whole collection to it. It's only fitting that this beloved fabric is celebrated time and time again with designers never failing to come up with ways to reinvent the classic--patchwork, jumpsuits, wide leg cropped! We think we've seen it all but there's always that delightful unique design that sprouts every season. Wear the Plodao frayed cullottes or the Marcali crop top to be in on the trend!

Latina

livingly Salvatore Ferragamo

We like living la vida loca over here and definitely don't shy away from color, lots and lots of it! So the Latin trend is pretty much right up our alley. What's not to love about vibrant shades that you can spot a mile away? The sexy strut that comes with wearing a big ball skirt is undeniably feminine. We love our own version, the Kingstown ball skirt that you can easily dress up or down. Close seconds are the Boaco wrap skirt and the Azaila overlap maxi.

Off-shoulder

We went a little ahead our ourselves and the off-shoulder trend, had it in the store since early last year. Safe to say it has been a common preference to bear the shoulders around here so we are beyond joyful it's still hot this season. And the range goes from tailored to whimsical to modern minimalist! We can't get enough and so should you. Take the lead with our Cami satin top and Goa lace versions.

Stripes

nowfashion Milly

Much like denim, stripes are another staple we can't live without. From loud, vertical versions to wavy diagonals, it is everywhere once again! We especially love these feminine versions on ball dresses in classic blue and white. Something to consider on your next bridal or formal event to stand out from all the LBDs. Sport our Silves maxi skirt for maximum impact or the Uvita mixed print overlap skirt which incidentally, is on sale!
