Bath Time Treats

by Chia Yulo July 04, 2015

I went to Europe and all I had to show for it was a carry-on full of soap! Hi, I'm Chia and I am a soap hoarder. I think it all started in high school when I broke out in hives from using a bar soap that I didn't know I was allergic to. I was super itchy and needed a shot-- I was red for weeks. Since then, I've hunting ferociously for mild soaps that make the cut. I like smelling everything before buying and something pretty is always fun to try. Here are a few that I've tried and tested, and some I've been eyeing lately.

Soak Nautilus (For Him) Soap. It's the ocean in a bar! Reminiscent of a day at the beach, this is too beautiful to pass up. Share it with your man and enjoy its wonderfully moisturizing properties.

How fun is this?! Soak Song of Ice looks like glaciers and froth from the Arctic and yes, it has an added cooling effect. I used this during the scorching summer and boy, did it help.

The perfect hostess gift. Philippa Soaps are organic and gorgeously packaged in a painted resin box that can be used to store trinkets later on. Use in the powder room, soak chips of it in the bath, or store a few chips in a pouch to add fragrance to your stuffy closet. The Coffee + Orange scent is so yummy!! I couldn't stop smelling my hands after.

Philippa Aciete de Coco

Bliss Lemon + Sage is a quality body wash that smells like a dream. Doubles as a bubbling bath, too! Yay!

Want something that looks good enough to eat? Try Soak Artisan Soaps Citrus Chocolate Cupcake and Macaron Glycerin Soap Trio. Both are extra moisturizing, not to mention fun. These would make pretty gifts, too. Use for at least 28 days to maximize benefits.

Exfoliate and energize with the Laiseven Citric-V Scrub. Use 2-3 times a week to keep skin radiant. It smells very refreshing and is a pretty good bang for your buck.

For some serious scrubbing, indulge in the Bliss Hot Salt Scrub. It stimulates your senses, sloughs off dry skin, hydrates, and the best part -- it gently heats your body with eucalyptus and rosemary oils. It's what they use at most W Hotels in the world. I can definitely get on board with that. Plus, the color. Love...

Perk up with Phina's Little Factory Espresso Coffee Soap. It firms up your skin and unclogs your pores. Smells like your morning cup of joe spiked with cinnamon. Yum.

Phina's Little Factor Black Propaganda Soap has gained a cult following with its deodorizing properties and activated charcoal drawing out bacteria and toxins. Can't wait to try this and maybe give the men in my life a bar or two.

With all these soaps, I'm sure you're more than excited for bath time. Make it an experience and start the day clean, fresh and a lot more happy. Seek more Bath and Body finds here.
'Til next time!
