DIY Series: Think Out-Of-The-Cupboard!

by Mikka Padua May 18, 2013

It's been a month too busy at the HQ that we hardly had any time for some DIY therapy until recently. Incidentally, a small collection of gorgeous glazed stoneware arrived. It's only but fitting to complete the long running DIY project happening with my makeshift boudoir.

I started with covering the interior of this open cabinetry that came along with our apartment. Armed with wallpaper purchased from a hardware store (yes, hardware!) and some wall paper paste, we lined the inside of the wooden cabinet.

I used the bar supposedly for clothes to hang necklaces. For bangles, I repurposed an old whiskey bottle. A wooden hand holds some rings but its the ceramic bowls that catch the rest of my jewelry clutter. The varied sizes and colored interiors make it even more interesting.

I also use stacked mini bowls to hold necklaces that are in heavy rotation. You can find vintage ones at thrift shops or use those that are just accumulating dust in the cupboard. I used ceramic glue to stack them.

DIY-ing promotes inspired living thus we share with you, in this little bubble, DIY projects we stumble upon as we go along this seeking adventure.
